Group Runs in Bellefonte: The Bellefonte Road Raiders
Runners in Bellefonte has a new resource as the Nittany Valley Running
Club's new Bellefonte, the Bellefonte Road Raiders, has hit the road!
The
group's first activity was a group run on Saturday, March 10. It's a small, but
growing group. Runners of all ages
and abilities are invited to the group runs. The group generally
meets at the Bellefonte Middle School parking lot. Routes are chosen based on how
far the assembled runners want to go, and there is usually an option
to run shorter or longer.
The new group gives runners the opportunity to meet other runners, explore new routes,
and experience the motivation and support of a
running group. The group plans to meet weekly on Saturday mornings at
the Bellefonte Middle School, unless otherwise noted. Here's a flyer with some information and

Note:
From May 17 on through the warm weather months, the Saturday morning
group runs will start at 8 AM. They will still be at the Middle School
unless otherwise noted.

Sunday May 17: Red Raider Warmup
Christine
Rice will
lead a run from the Bellefonte Middle School. She'd like to run
3-4 miles at a nice, easy (9-10 min/mi) pace. Meet her at the
Bellefonte Middle School at 8 AM if you'd like to join her. After the
run, Christine plans to help Kim Gasper put on the Red Raider Rally
Run, a bunch of kids runs, at the Middle School. Stay and help if you'd
like!

Bellefonte Road Raiders Thursday Evening
Workouts:
The Road Raiders
will meet for track workouts every Thursday evening
until the sun starts going to bed early. Here is the schedule of workouts. The group will meet
at Bellefonte Middle School at 6 PM unless otherwise noted.
