9th Annual NVTC Half-Marathon
Saturday, December 6, 1992

Course start and finish: Intramural Building, Penn State University
Race Director: Bob Heckard

(Dave Boger): I ran in this race, so I know it occurred, but I also remember cold weather, wind, and snow, and race director Bob Heckard standing at the finish time reading times off of a stop watch. Thus, I fear there are no results for this race on record anywhere.

Troy Klinger won in 1:16:28 and offers this recollection about running the Half when the weather turns bad:

"I remember winning the 1992 race in wicked conditions.  I
have to credit the victory to the fact that the PSU Team did not show up
for a change. As a typical runner I can remember the details of every
race well; the first few miles were on snow covered roads until we got out
near the airport. At that point the roads were clear as an unfortunate
result of some really nasty cross winds. I believe Boyd Brumbaugh
finished second that year, but I'm not certain. I remember running with
him during the the mid to latter half of the race.”
