Superhuman Effort To Benefit Juvenile Diabletes Research Fund

Steve McAninch, who last year ran 30 hours to raise $30K for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, is about to embark on an even more superhuman endeavor. Between now and May 19, Steve plans to run 750 miles, with 130,000 feet elevation gain; bicycle 1500 miles, and lift 1,000,000 pounds. May 18 into 19, he will conclude his effort with a 100 mile run around the State College area. To kick off his fundraising, Steve is working with Chik-Fil-A to hold a Spirit Night on World Diabetes Day, Monday, November 14. On this day, Chik-Fil-A will donate 15% of all receipts from customers who hand in this ticket.

2012 Indoor Mile Series Schedule Announced

The 2012 Indoor Mile Series will again feature 4 meets in January and February. Each meet will have heats of the mile. The last meet will also have a heat of the 3000 meter run. As usual, there will be a Predicted Time Contest for the mile at the last meet.
The Indoor Mile Series is open to all NVRC members except students high school age or younger (due to NCAA recruiting rules). The coming Series will be held on the newly resurfaced Multi-Sport Facility track. There will be new regulations regarding spikes, which will soon be posted on the Indoor Mile Series page. Representatives Of Girls On The Run To Be At Tussey mOUnTaiNBACK Expo
