The First Night State College Resolution Run 5K has been held on New Year's Eve since 1998. Start and finish in downtown State College and run through a darkened Penn State campus. Costumes are encouraged, and in addition to running awards, there's a prize for best/most original costume. Held in conjunction with First Night, a family-oriented event with music, drama, and ice sculptures. More details on the First Night web page. 

Registration Fees:
$25 for adults, $15 youth age 19 and under if postmarked on or before December 24,
2018; thereafter $28 for adults, $18 for youth.

Pre-race day registration and packet pick-up will be on December 30 from 2 to 4 PM at the State College Municipal Building at 243 S. Allen St. Race day registration and packet pick-up will be from 4 to 6 PM at the St. Paul's United Methodist Church gym at 250 E. College Ave.
